The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for strategically developing sales opportunities for eMW BD sales team, responding to and booking incoming commercial sales via phone and emails . Working with the BD Team, the SDR will generate leads, identified through a variety of inbound and outbound approaches with strong customer interaction. This position also assists in operational and administrative duties.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the customers' business and determine customer requirements. Convert incoming leads into qualified customer engagements for immediate booking or channel partners and/or the field sales team to work to closure
  • Provide technical assistance and support for customers regarding technical specifications of products, and troubleshoot with inhouse Sales Engineers as needed
  • Enter and maintain SFDC accounts, orders and leads as needed
  • Maintain product level knowledge, pricing, and reseller discount price lists
  • Learn new procedures and product information as required
  • Perform other duties or projects as assigned
  • Generate and/or qualify sales leads within a prescribed geographic territory and designated accounts
  • Assist with the scheduling of client visits and sales meetings for Field Sales and Channel Account Managers
  • Assist with the continual improvement and delivery of strong day- to-day processes and systems for lead generation
  • Provide marketing materials on company products and services to qualified prospects
  • Work with the Sales and Marketing teams to assist in the follow-up activities related to specific marketing campaigns and webinars

Qualifications

  • Previous experience with inside sales phone and email sales
  • Strong on the phones and experienced making and receiving dozens of calls each day
  • The position holder must be a self-starter and able to work hard, independently
  • Capacity to interact and communicate effectively with internal and external clients
  • A proven ability to multi-task and a willingness to work to the benefit of others
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment and deliver on commitments
  • Possess strong negotiation skills
  • No travel is expected for this role, however the opportunity may be available to attend industry events

Desired Qualifications

  • EVSE or EV experience. Do you own an electric car - helpful but not required
  • 3+ years inside phone sales experience
  • Desire to learn technical automotive technologies
  • Electrical knowledge helpful but not required
